FAQs
What sets you apart from other jewelry brands?
Because we believe in harnessing one’s own unique sense of style, all our jewelry is emphasized by our modern + contemporary designs and the use of high quality natural and lab-grown diamonds and gemstones. Quality is incredibly important to us, and we aspire to provide you with the utmost value and a truly rewarding return on your investment by only using diamonds (natural and/or lab-grown) with colorless diamonds (I and higher), and with clarity SI and higher. All our jewelry is set in 18k solid gold (white, yellow and rose) and/or 950 Platinum (upon request).
Besides the price, what factors do I need to look for when buying diamond jewelry?
When buying fine jewelry, especially diamonds, color and clarity are two essential factors that significantly affect a diamond's overall quality and value. These two characteristics, along with other factors like carat weight and cut, collectively determine a diamond's overall grade and, therefore, its price and visual appeal.
The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) uses a color scale that starts from D, where the stone is colorless, and can go all the way to Z, where the stone can be yellow/brown. The less color a diamond has, the more valuable and desirable it is. Colorless or near-colorless diamonds (grades D to J) are the most sought after.
The GIA also uses a scale to grade diamond clarity, ranging from Flawless (no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification) to Included (inclusions and/or blemishes visible to the naked eye). Diamonds with higher clarity grades are more valuable because they are rarer and have a cleaner appearance. Clarity affects a diamond's brilliance and sparkle. Fewer inclusions mean more light can pass through the stone, resulting in better light reflection and dispersion. It's important to note that many inclusions are microscopic and do not affect the diamond's overall beauty or durability. Therefore, the choice of clarity grade should be based on personal preferences and budget.

What is the difference between natural/earth-mined diamonds and lab-grown diamonds?
Natural diamonds and lab-grown diamonds differ in several key aspects, including their origin, price, rarity, and environmental impact. These differences contribute to the significant price gap between the two.
Firstly, natural diamonds are formed deep within the Earth's mantle over millions of years through geological processes involving extreme heat and pressure. They are then brought to the Earth's surface via volcanic eruptions or other geological events. In contrast, lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled laboratory environments using advanced technological processes. Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are composed of carbon atoms arranged in a crystal lattice structure, making them chemically identical. This composition gives diamonds their exceptional hardness, brilliance, and other physical properties. The price disparity between natural and lab-grown diamonds is primarily due to their rarity. Natural diamonds are inherently scarce, and the process of mining, cutting, and distributing them incurs substantial costs. Large, high-quality natural diamonds are especially rare, further driving up their price.
Lab-grown diamonds, on the other hand, are more abundant and accessible, leading to a lower cost per carat.
The price difference between natural and lab-grown diamonds can be attributed to their differing origins, rarity, historical valuation, and environmental considerations. While natural diamonds tend to be more expensive due to their geological rarity and cultural significance, lab-grown diamonds offer a more accessible and affordable alternative without the ethical concerns associated with some natural diamond mining practices.
It's important to note that the choice between lab-grown and natural diamonds ultimately depends on personal preferences and values. Some individuals prioritize the inherent rarity and symbolism of natural diamonds, while others appreciate the affordability, ethics, and sustainability of lab-grown alternatives. Regardless of your choice, both types of diamonds can be stunning and meaningful additions to your fine jewelry collection.
